THE "WE CARE" PROJECT

Our We Care Project was established in 2005. We were excited that for our first year, the Lord enabled us to minister to over sixty families during Thanksgiving and Christmas by providing meals and gifts. It was an honor to see the smiles on the faces of many families that received from our ministry. We give thanks to all those who have faithfully supported the ministry. Without your prayers and support these families may have gone without during the holiday season.

In 2006 we introduced a new facet of this project called "Adopt a Family." We would like to encourgage those that are interested in sponsoring a family for Christmas to let us know as soon as possible. Sponsorship simply means supporting a family by purchasing Christmas gifts for the family, which will be a three to five member family. Detail information can be obtained by contacting our ministry and expressing an interest in sponsorship. Please see our "Contact Us" page for information on reaching us directly.

Wow! God is so faithful. Because of the generousity of so many precious people our "Adopt A Family" phase of our project was a huge success. During our second year, eight out of ten of our families were personally sponsored. Each year our desire is to bless more people than the previous year and the Lord has enabled us to do that by allowing us to minister to nearly 70 families in 2006.

Our project is also currently supported by area grocery and warehouse stores and even other non-profit organizations. These companies and organizations help us by donating gift cards, food, toiletries and other needed items which assist us in ministering to those that need our help.

Please prayerfully consider how you may support us in reaching those that are lost, and less fortunate in our area. In 2 Corinthians 9:7 it says: So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or out of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.(NKJV)

We thank you in advance for helping those that are in need. It touches our heart to be a Blessing to others and how much more does it touch and Bless the Heart of our Father!

May God "Bless you to Be a Blessing."

MINISTRY TRAVEL

Evangelist Joseph Morrison travels extensively preaching the gospel and serving those in need.  He has been honored to minister at youth services and a special Father's Day service as well as many other preaching engagements.  If you are interested in having Evangelist Morrison minister at your church or function, please contact us.

RAPID RESPONSE TRAINING

Both Evangelist Joseph Morrison and Minister Mennie Morrison have had disaster relief training with the Billy Graham Evangelist Association and are serving as volunteer Chaplains.  Our first deployment with the BGEA Rapid Response Team was in February 2008 in Jackson, TN after a devasting tornado came through this area.  What an honor to be able to go and serve along side of other Chaplains to bring the hope and love of God to those that have experienced lost and devastation.

In addition to this first deployment Evangelist Morrison has served as Chaplain with many other deployments; In 2008: Cedar Rapids, IA, Donaldsonville, LA, Port Arthur, TX and in 2009,Kings Mountain, NC.  Currently this year of 2010 he has traveled to West Virginia, Yazoo, MS, and Nashville, TN.

PASTORIAL NURSING HOME MINISTRY

Evangelist Morrison is busy every week with his Pastorial Nursing Home ministry to our precious seniors.  He has shared the love of God and brought hope to many at a local nursing home in the community for over 12 years.  He is honored that God has called him to reach out and minister to those that so often feel forgetten and need the hope and love of God.

In additon to the weekly nursing home ministry, he also gives of his time and energy by visiting other nursing home facilities and assisting the men with fresh haircuts.  He also personally visits and assist the elderly and disabled with regular home visits.

COMMUNITY INVOLVMENT

BTBAB helped to sponsor a Centennial Celebration for one of our seniors in the area.
This Celebration was a great success and Blessing, not only to us but to all those in attendance. Here's a picture of Evangelist Joseph Morrison and Mrs. Floretta Gunn who celebrated 100 years of life in 2005, PRAISE THE LORD!

MEETINGS

In 2005 The Lord instructed Minister Mennie Morrison to coordinate a " Night of Prayer Service".  This service is open to all churches, (the body of Christ) to come together cooperately to pray and intercede for our country, nation, communities, familes and much more.  In addtion to prayer, we also have a time of praise and worship and personal miinistry to those that are in attendance.

Our very first "NIGHT OF PRAYER" service was held on Friday May 19th 2005 at 7:00 pm at Freedom Christian Center of Fort Mill, SC.

We believe as we join together with other believers and pray earnestly for various needs that God's ear is open to our prayers.

In the book of James 5:16 (NKJV) it declares: that the effective fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.  What started out as a night of prayer has become an Annual Night of Prayer Service held every year in the month of May.
