“WAKE UP”
Dear Friend:
I first want to give honor to my Lord and my Master, Jesus the Christ (The All Sufficient One, the one that’s more than enough).
This month in our newsletter, I would like to address every Christian that has accepted Jesus as their Savior. Now, its one thing to accept Him as your Savior but it’s something totally different to allow Jesus to be your Lord. However, we will not deal with the Lordship of Christ in this newsletter but will focus on Part (A) of this teaching. We as the Body of Christ need to wake up and know what Jesus our Savior has purchased for us on the cross and know that our real enemy the devil has been defeated.
I talk to a lot of Christians who are allowing the devil to control their lives instead of the Word of God. The Bible clearly tells us that in the last days some will turn away from their faith (what they believe) and follow seducing spirits that come from the devil (I Timothy 4:1). We need to wake up to the warfare that’s going on in the heavenly realm. Now, the Word of God teaches us that there are three different areas called heaven. There is the heaven where God resides, the stellar heaven (what we call outer space) and then there is the heaven around this earth (the atmosphere surrounding this planet). The last heaven mentioned is where spiritual warfare takes place. This is where the devil attempts to rule and destroy families, relationships, etc. This is Satan’s ruling area where he tries to keep the truth of God’s Word from being manifested in the lives of Christians.
We must wake up to the fact that the devil is the prince of the power of the air (Ephesians 2:2) and from there they attempt to rule your life. Can we stop them from operating, no? However, we can stop them from operating in our life if we make the Word of God first place. God tells us that we have to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling according to the book of Philippians 2:12. Until we get to heaven, there is a war going on and we must wake up to that reality and understand our spiritual authority in Christ. I am encouraging all of us to wake up and understand that just because it’s the will of God for you to be healed, delivered and set free from this fallen world of sin doesn’t mean it’s just automatically going to happen.
The key is not the will to win in this life, everyone has that but the key is the will to prepare to win that’s important. I know a lot of Christians that are in place but not in tune. Let me explain that statement. There are many Christians that have accepted Jesus as their Lord; they are in place (a child of God, a part of the Body of Christ) but not in tune to His Spirit (His leading). Looking back over my life, I believe that our background and our circumstances has an influence on who we are but we need to wake up and understand that when we accept Jesus as our Savior we are now responsible for who we become. In the book of John 6:63 it tells us that it is the spirit that quickeneth, the flesh profited nothing; the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are life. I commend everyone to wake up and spend time in the Word of God. We are living in the day when the devil is more subtle than ever. If you don’t wake up to the truth of how he operates and learn how to walk in victory the way the Lord Jesus has prepared us to walk, it will be no one’s fault but your own. WAKE UP!

“TRUST GOD”
Dear Friend:
I bring you greetings from my Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ. This year is about half way over and there have been a lot of disasters, turmoil and upheaval going on in our country and the world. However, as a Christian, a child of the living God we must continue to stand on His promises and take Him at His Word (Trust God).
When things around you don’t seem to line up with the Word of God, when people around you falsely accuse you and you can’t seem to understand why, you must continue to trust God and know that the battle is not yours but it’s the Lord’s. I know sometimes in this walk of life, we have to make changes based on our surroundings and associations. God tells us in Ephesians 5:15-17 see then that you walk circumspectly (careful) not as fools but as wise; redeeming the time because the days are evil. Wherefore be not unwise but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
To understand what the will of the Lord is one must spend time in the Word of God. I have learned that when you are standing on the Word of God for certain areas of your life that have not been manifested according to God’s Word, the devil will use anyone that will submit themselves to him to try and stop you from trusting God. But let me encourage you; keep standing on the Word of God for your life because every promise that you believe will come to pass as you trust God. So when you are going through hard times, don’t stop there (Psalm 55:22) and when you are experiencing tests, and trials don’t quit but keep trusting God (Proverbs 3:5).
Remember that no matter what storm we face in this life there is a promise that has been spoken unto us that will see us through; so, learn what those promises are concerning that area of your life and trust God and I promise you that He will demonstrate His Glory in your life. In closing, let me encourage your heart with a few scriptures: Psalm 16:1 Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust. Psalm 18:2 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. Psalm 91:2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. These are just a few promises in His Word to encourage us to Trust God; He is our only hope. Search the Word of God today for your situation and I guarantee you that you will find a promise that you can hold on to that will cause you to Trust in the Lord your God.
