WORDS OF WISDOM

Our online newsletter is a short monthly teaching from the Word of God written by Evangelist Joseph Morrison and is designed to strengthen and encourage the people of God. We trust that as you read the monthly publication it will strengthen you in your walk with the Lord. The Bible declares in Psalm 119: 11 & 12(NKJV): "Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You. Blessed are You O Lord!"

“IT’S NOT THE BEGINNING, IT’S THE END”

Dear Friend:

I greet you and honor my Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ.  I pray that this month’s newsletter find you fighting the good fight of faith.

The Word of God tells us in Romans 1:17 that the just shall live by faith.  I have learned that this faith walk can sometimes be a challenge.  As we look all around us and see all of the negative things in the world, where people are calling the wrong things right and right things wrong; that can be somewhat challenging.  But as people of the Most High God, we have to choose not to look at the things that we see around us and allow them to distract us.  The Bible puts it this way: while not looking at things that are seen but the things that are not seen; for the things that are seen are temporal but the things that are not seen are eternal.  With that Word of God and many more that we stand on, causes us to have great hope.

We know that as a child of God we have eternal life waiting on us at the end of this journey on earth; however, until we get there, what can keep us strong?  What can keep us encouraged?  The answer is this; our only hope must be built on nothing less, than Jesus Blood and righteousness.  We dare not trust the sweetest fame, but wholly lean on Jesus name.  If we depend on anything less than Jesus’ strength and ability to keep us, we will be disappointed.

God tells us in 2 Corinthians 12:9, And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.  In order for us to live a successful Christian life, we must believe the Word of God, seek Him, grow in the Word of God and understand that Jesus is truly the only way, truth and the life.

We can only take one day at a time and be grateful for the little things that so many people (even Christians) take for granted.  We must depend on the name of Jesus and know that His grace is more than enough.  In life there are going to be test and trails; that is just a part of life because of the fall of man.  However, no matter what tries to come against us to try and make us think the Word of God is not true, we must continue to fight the good fight of faith.  We have to know that it’s not just the beginning but it’s the end and everything in the middle is a faith walk that will determine our victory or defeat on this Christian journey.

Stay encouraged and know that the more you draw close to God, the more that He will demonstrate His glory in your life and show you that until we get to the end all of His promises are yes and amen.

Mennie and I love and appreciate you and are grateful for your partnership in the ministry.  We thank God for all your prayers, love and support that are helping us keep this work of the Lord reaching those that are needy and less fortunate and need a helping hand.  I believe that everyone doesn’t need help up; some people just need a little help along the way.  Because of your sacrificial giving we are able to be God’s hand extended to so many.  May God continue to meet your every need because you choose to meet the needs of others.  Again, Thank You!

“PREPARATION”

Dear Friend:

Greetings to you and I would like to wish you a Happy New Year.  I first give honor to our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ; the only one that allowed us to see the beginning of another year because of His Grace.  As we look back over our lives and this past year, we can see the goodness of the Lord in our lives and how He has made ways for us when it seemed to be no way.

We have twelve or should I say eleven months ahead of us and we need to prepare ourselves to win.  There is a real devil that’s in the world.  He is walking around seeking whom he can devour (I Peter 5:8).  One of his main jobs is to make Jesus look bad and the only way he can do that is through the people that call themselves Christians (Christ like).  That’s why it is so important that we prepare ourselves for the battle that’s going on around us in the spiritual world.

As a Christian, we are in a war that our eyes can’t see; and when it comes to fighting spiritual battles most Christians don’t pay much attention to what’s really going on.  They don’t prepare themselves in advance spiritually.  They don't study the Word of God to learn the tricks and strategies of the devil and when he makes his move to attack them in the natural, this is when they try to fight him with the Word and they usually lose.  A boxer that knows that he has a big fight ahead doesn’t wait until fight week to start his preparation.  He always stays prepared so that when it’s time for the battle (the fight) he is ready to get into the ring.

As a Christian, it’s not the will to win, everybody has that; however, it is the will to prepare to win that’s important.  Start this year off right by studying the Word of God so that when a battle comes you want have to start preparing yourself.  Preparation has already taken place and all you have to do is fight the good fight of faith.

Don’t let the devil catch you off guard.  Be prepared!  Start praying and speaking the Word of faith now over your family, your health, your business, etc.  Get your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace.  Then when the devil causes trouble, you’ll be well equipped to defeat him.

Mennie and I thank God for you being a partner with us in this ministry for our Lord.  I pray that this newsletter is being an encouragement to you every month as I share what God has put on my heart.  We look forward to seeing how God will use BTBAB Outreach Ministries this year and in the years ahead.  Our heart and desire is to continue to be a vessel for God to use.
